Our Policies

General Care & Welfare

All dogs are cared for with kindness, patience and respect at all times.

Services are provided in line with the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2006 where applicable.

Dogs must be in good general health and fit enough to participate in the booked service.

Any behavioural, medical or dietary needs must be disclosed prior to services commencing.

Health, Vaccinations & Parasite Control

Dogs must be up to date with routine vaccinations, flea, tick and worming treatments.

Owners are responsible for informing Posh Paws of any illness, injury or condition that may affect their dog’s care or safety.

We reserve the right to refuse or suspend services if a dog appears unwell, contagious, or unfit to participate.

Grooming Services

Severe matting, aggressive behaviour or extreme stress may result in the session being ended early.

Additional charges may apply for excessive matting, behavioural difficulties or time beyond the standard appointment.

Grooming results vary depending on coat condition and dog behaviour; specific styles cannot always be guaranteed.

Owners must inform us of any skin conditions, sensitivities or injuries prior to grooming.

Matting will be shaved, we will not put a dog through discomfort for aesthetics.

Behaviour & Training

Any history of reactivity, anxiety, fearfulness or aggression must be declared in advance.

Posh Paws of Pinford End reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if a dog’s behaviour poses a risk to itself, other dogs, staff or the public.

Training may be adjusted or cancelled due to extreme weather conditions to protect dog welfare.

Consistency and owner participation are key to success; results cannot be guaranteed.

Training plans are tailored to each dog and may evolve as progress is assessed.

Bookings, Payments & Cancellations

Bookings are confirmed once agreed in writing and, where applicable, a deposit is received.

Payment terms will be clearly communicated at the time of booking.

Cancellations require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice unless otherwise stated.

Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged in full.

Liability

While every care is taken, Posh Paws cannot be held liable for illness, injury, loss or death.

Owners are responsible for any damage or injury caused by their dog to people, animals or property.
