The grooming salon can be quite a scary place for dogs who aren't prepared...

A lot of the equipment we use is noisy, powerful and sharp, so it's really important to teach puppies how to behave!
​
This course focuses on calm, confident handling and positive exposure to grooming processes.
​
The Puppy University 5 week course is the best way to gently introduce grooming to your new furry friend!
EXCLUSIVELY FOR PUPPIES BETWEEN 3-6 MONTHS OLD
All students must be fully vaccinated, flea treated and wormed before their classes begin.

What to Expect
Meetings and Manners

Session One 30-45 mins
​
Firstly, you and your puppy will get to meet the team and explore the salon.
When your puppy feels comfortable we will start introducing some table manners, your puppy will then have a nail trim and ear clean.
​
We will discuss the best tools and techniques to use at home to maintain their coats between their future grooming appointments.
Scissor Sensible
​
Session Two 30-45 mins
​
Learning how to ignore the shiny moving things...
​
Your pup will be introduced to scissors in a safe, calm way that promotes confidence on the grooming table. They will receive a trim in front of their eyes as well as around their feet and bottom.
Sensational Salon
​
Session Three 30 mins
​
Learning to feel confident and calm around all the different sights, smells and sounds of the salon.
​
Your puppy will experience new sensations such as; the feel of a metal bath and the noises the blow dryers make.
They will also be introduced to the feel of clippers, during this session they will receive a groin and armpit trim.
Bubbles and Blow Dryers

Session Four 1 hour
​
Starting to put all of our different elements together...
​
During this session your puppy will have their first full bath, blow dry and brush out. We will also cut their nails and clean their ears again.
Groom and Graduation
​
Session Five 2-3 hour
​
Bringing everything they have learned during their previous session together!
​
In their last session of Puppy University, your pup will have their first ever full groom, this includes everything from a bath and nail trim all the way up to styling!
​
They will also have their graduation photo taken and receive their very own diploma!
